Why Should I get Certified?

The Sound Wellness Institute holds itself to the highest standards, and we expect no less from those who apprentice with us. 

Sound Wellness Practitioner Training is the only certification program in Canada of verified competency of the practitioner for working with sound. The Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Association will accept Sound Wellness Level II Certification for those who wish to apply for membership. Members of NHPCA also receive credit for each of our courses towards annual professional development requirements.

We don't say this lightly, although we often joke with our practitioners that we'll be sending over adoption papers.

Participants in the Certification Program are never alone! We do not abandon our students when the training is complete.

You will be invited to participate in monthly Practitioner Mentoring Calls where you can get your questions answered. And where you can share your experiences with other practitioners.

You will also be invited to join in our ‘Sound Shares’ where we offer specific training on a variety of topics from “Offering a Sound Bath” to “Sound Recording” to “Incorporating Sound Wellness with other Modalities”.

You will also be offered preferential access to the trainers. When things come up, or you need some guidance with a client, we’re here for you by email, text, and often by phone.

There are no additional fees for support. We believe that when you invest in programs at the Sound Wellness Institute, our commitment to you doesn’t end when the course is completed. 

In addition to the above, you’ll also receive:

• Reduced prices on many products, including bowls, tingshas, the Zaphir chimes, bells and malas.
• Reduced one-on-one session rates. We all need self-care, and sometimes we need a session for ourselves. 
• Reduced rates on printing. We have a competent print center, where we produce all of our own workbooks, brochures, business cards, and other promotional material. 
• Reduced recording studio rates. We have a full audio and video recording studio. All of the videos we use, and all of our audio tracks and CDs have been produced in our own studio. Practitioners in our certification program receive substantial discounts on the use of this space.
• Discounts on paid events (webinars/marketing events)
• First notice when new product comes in. You’ll hear about it at least one week before everyone else does.

How Do I Become Certified?

• Attending the required programs for the Level of Certification.
• Participation in mentoring calls.
• Submission of case studies appropriate to the Certification Level.
• Completion of online testing.
• In-person verification, online or in-person.
