Why Should I get Certified?

The Sound Wellness Institute holds itself to the highest standards, and we expect no less from those who apprentice with us. 

Sound Wellness Practitioner Training is the only certification program in Canada of verified competency of the practitioner for working with sound. The Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Association will accept Sound Wellness Level II Certification for those who wish to apply for membership. Members of NHPCA also receive credit for each of our courses towards annual professional development requirements.

What Types Of Certification Are Available?

Not all certifications are created equal. A certificate of training in a modality can be one of three different kinds. It’s really important to understand the different levels of certification available to you. There are three different definitions of certification

1. Certificate of Completion,
2. Certificate of Achievement, and
3. Certification of Competency.

Certificate of Completion, also known as a Certificate of Attendance means that you have attended a course or program. 

Certificate of Achievement means that you have attended an instructional program, like university or college, and passed an exam that tests your knowledge. 

Certification of Competency means that you have attended an instructional program, had your knowledge tested and had your application of the methods and techniques you’ve learned tested and verified.

The Certificate of Competency is the highest standard of certification and is the kind of certification offered by the Sound Wellness Institute.

How Do I Become Certified?

• Attending Harmonic Journeys: Advanced Techniques for Sound Bath Practitioners, and complete the required pre-requisite courses.
• Submission of course assignments.
• Facilitated a minimum of 8 sound baths. Audio and/or video recordings are required for each, with a minimum of 2 video recordings.
• Submission of case studies including your sound bath plan; any intuitive contribution; results of the sound bath.
• Completion of online testing.
