Mystical Sound I

Explore the Deep Mystical Presence of Sound from Past to Present

Program Modules

Important Disclaimer: The curriculum listed below is typical of our workshops. However, the material covered varies with the dynamics of each group attending. In some cases, not all material is covered, and in others, we may go deeper into the content.

Module1

Mysticism Around the World

We begin with defining mysticism and then exploring mystical traditions around the world.

We'll explore the following through a mystical lens:

  • What is a mystical experience? What defines a mystic?
  • Shamanism
  • Mystery Schools ā€“ Hermetic Principles
  • Christian Mysticism
  • Jewish Mysticism and Kabbalah
  • Islamic Mysticism
  • Mysticism in India
  • Buddhist Mysticism
  • Taoist Mysticism

.

MODULE 2

Modern Mystics

This module covers a few modern mystics.

One of the few modern mystics who shared extensively about sound was Hazrat Inayat Khan. His teachings are covered in this segment. Also covered are a few other modern mystics renowned for their enlightened teachings.

MODULEĀ 3

Science and Mysticism

The advent of Quantum Mechanics brought a whole new lens to ancient mysticism.

The beginning of the 20th Century brought the advent of Quantum Mechanics and an expansion of our understanding of physics of the level of matter smaller than an atom. Since then, there has been a growing body of research into consciousness. We are expanding our technology and vocabulary to explain concepts that have been the territory of mysticism for thousands of years. Some of the perspectives we will cover include:

  • The Brain and Mysticism
  • The Work of John Stuart Reid
  • Photons and Phonons
  • Smallest Particles of Matter

MODULEĀ 4

Anatomy of a Mystical Experience

The anatomy of a mystical experience can be measured.

Two examples of the scientific measurement of mystical states are covered in this segment:

  • The Flow Research Collective.
  • Dan Winter and his work measuring brainwave states of mystical experience.

MODULEĀ 5

Sound and Sacred Geometry

We'll explore the intimate connection between sound and geometric form.

There are many perspectives in the field of sound and geometry. Sound structures matter. For this course we explore the following:

  • Fibonacci numbers
  • The Golden Section
  • An introduction to the Fibonacci tuning forks
  • The Harmonic Series
  • Music and Geometry

MODULEĀ 6

Holographic Perception

Our main understanding of our third dimensional world is based on the information gathered by our five senses: sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell. Third dimensional reality tells us that each of us is a unique being, separate from everyone and everything else.

But it is more than that. Many in our human collective are becoming aware that we are all connected, especially through the discoveries made in quantum mechanics. Every individual has a connection with any other individual in this field of one humanity and one mind. In addition, each individual has a connection to, or access to, the entire Zero Point Field.

This perceptual expansion is holographic in nature. That is, every small part (like a human being) carries the entire universe. It is also spherical in nature ā€“ like sound ā€“ that can expand out like a balloon.
